I lost my "Fly by" view - any ideas?

Featured Replies

For the longest time I've enjoyed the "Fly by" view offered by Active Camera. For some reason FS has decided to go back to the default "Tower View". The "Approach" view doesn't work either. Other than that everything works fine. I did a complete re-install of FS and Active Camera and got the same results. Serge with Active Camera was very helpful yet no luck. Any ideas folks? Thanks in advance!Beemer

This is a long shot, but... I too thought I had lost fly-by. Seemed to be caused by the F12 key. This button causes mouse movements to control view direction. When I press the cycle view key (default 'S') it skips the fly-by. Again, this is a long shot but worth a check. Press F12 and see if your fly-by is back when cycling views.

I have same problem here :( Everything with active camera is fine but the fly by view. Thomas

Really strainge! I even tried the freeware "Flyby" program here on Avsim and it doesn't work either. Same tower view - and it's usually behind a tree! I appreciate the suggestion from Hakkie but F12 didn't work. Thomas - just courious - what video card and drivers are you running? Beemer

Hello, some users reported the lost of fly by view afyter installing Windows XP service pack 2.I have SP2 installed and the flyby is still working fine. I asked some users who had SP2 installed and so far all is OK.It is weird since the memory address related to the FS tower view has not moved. I verified and it is still the same data.I will investigate after FS update release.Regards,Serge
