Encouragement for PMDG!

Featured Replies

Hi PMDG guys!I know you're busy doing "stuff" with the patch, but it just crossed my mind, that there are a lot of messages in the forum, that carry a disappointed and sometimes angry tone.I just wanted to say that we do appreciate all the work you have already put into the bird, and also the fact that it didn't take you long to announce a patch. I'm confident that you will address all the issues that are "correctable" in the patch, and won't let us down.As flightsim veterans from other simulators you surely know that good things aren't free. There were high expectations about the NG, and now is the time to fulfill those. It might take a patch (or two?), but in the end I'm sure we're all happy, and can get to the actual flying part with a smile on our faces. :)cheersTeroPIC767 forever(I hope the NG will take its place aside PIC eventually!)

This is my first post to this forum, and I'm delighted to add my sentiment here as well. There are a lot of negatively toned messages and these guys deserve way more accolade then they are receiving.I fly this bird nearly every evening. All issues have workarounds - or, at least I've found 'em anyway. At times, I find I've even enjoyed my flying experience more because of it. I think about how many times (with other aircraft) I've got to cruise level and walked away from the PC for 4 hours knowing everything would be just dandy when I got back in time to land. Not very realistic, is it? For this reason, I almost like the fuel imbalance problem because I'm forced to keep checking on flight progress to keep fuel in balance.I know some things are more important to some than to others, and all are entitled to their opinions. But, I suppose I begin to have problems when half the customer base disagrees/contradicts the other half of the customer base and in effect playing a feverish tennis/racketball match using PMDG as the ball. How can PMDG make their customer base happy, when we can't even agree with ourselves? I say we need to accept that ALL OF US will need to make small compromises in one way or another in consideration of the general customer base.I'm quite happy I paid $40 for this product, and I do feel I got my money's worth even without a patch. And for any potential critics of my post, no, the $40 was NOT easy to come by. In fact, I needed to convince my fiancee to allow me to use $40 of our wedding fund. Now gents, THAT is not easy, and the "interest" on this little loan is now on my head for a lifetime. :(So, "can't we all just get along?" and ENJOY this fabulous bird!?!?Joe Miller

Personally I am one of the lucky ones since the only problem I've had is the degrading of the fps in virtual cockpit and not being able to deactivate the speed brake with a button. Otherwise it just keeps on flying flying flying... and I've never made such smooth takeoffs with a jet as with the NG. Not to mention the wonderful autoland ability. The only thing I really miss is built in support for dragging the overhead to a second monitor plus the fact that the colour banding on the main panel with lights turned on is pretty awful! :)One happy customer here as I knew I would be given my experience from PMDG and their Fly!II products./KristerFinland
