I'm having trouble with take off.

I am not setting the autopilot. But when I take off, the plan shots up to about 45 to 50 degrees and I have no control. I push on the yoke but it doesn

Cool, gotta try that. In the meanwhile, have you set the trim to about 5,25? I think that anywhere in the green band should work more or less well..?

Hi Bob,It sounds like the trim isn't set correctly. Press the T icon to bring up the throttle panel and set the trim to 5. That, together with a flap setting of 5, should resolve the problem.Cheers,

Thanks for the reply. I checked the trim and it is set to 5 so there must be something else causing the problem.

I agree with Ray. I just did a flight with 75% fuel in each wing tank and 50& in the centre tank. Flaps 5, trim to about 5.25. No Flight Director, no Auto Thrust, no flight modes selected. I set the throttles to the green marker in the N1 gauge (looks like a small V that

Bob,A little more information wouldn't go amiss. How much fuel have you loaded and how far are you flying? Have you loaded a flightplan into the FMC? Is the fuel balanced between the tanks?Try activating the autothrottle and set a speed of 180kts on the MCP together with a nominal altitude of say, 10,000ft. Once airborne engage the AP, set a climb rate of 2,000fpm. Does that solve the problem?Cheers,

This seems odd, it almost sounds like the problem I have with PIC, where I need to have rudder/aileron/elevator spiking checked in FSUIPC under the Tech Tab. [h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Randy,I've never suffered that spiking problem but maybe the CH USB yoke was resistent to it. Funny enough I experienced it down at Pete Dowson's with his PFC controls when we flew the 767.Bob mentions a yoke. It would be useful to know if it was USB or a gameport one. Also, is he running Win9x or XP? Bob?Cheers,

I have the CH Flight Sim yoke. And it is a USB under windows XP

Bob,Okay that shouldn't present a problem as I have the same kit. But did you see my earlier message about trying a flight? Let us know how that goes, okay?Cheers,

Bob, Can you try to takeoff without your joystick for me? Please double check trim units and flaps 5, full weight in the 700 should be roughly 145 VR or so, good enough to get you up and see if you can control pitch with the keyboard.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Hi Randy,Will I tried it without the yoke, and the trim was set at 5 and the weight was ok. But it did the same thing. So I had to set the trim to 0 and that helped a lot. I didn't mention that I am using FS2004, so maybe when the patch comes out.

Hi Bob,<>Blimey! That makes a HUGE difference especially when the team have already stated it won't work properly until the patch is applied. Pity you didn't mention that at the outset - it would have saved a lot of time and effort.Cheers,
