August 4, 200322 yr Hi, folks-Sean posted a request for help (with screenshots, even) about his CDUs going black even though he had APU or ground power established to the AC.I didn't see a reply, but I'm having the same problem- after ~5 min, my CDUs, FMC and external lights go black even though I have full power on the overhead panel and all busses read powered.Did anyone have a solution?-Simon Binder
August 4, 200322 yr Simon, SeanJust to make sure we rule out the obvious here! APU/ENG Generators enabled, lights extinguished? ;-)Regards, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
August 4, 200322 yr Simon,Sounds like your battery is dying. That ugly, ugly FS bug. Do you have 'extend battery life' checked in FSUIPC?
August 4, 200322 yr Shouldn't the batteries recharge from the generators when they are powered and connected?? Or is the bug more severe that I thought? ;-)Regards, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
August 4, 200322 yr Try this:Edit each aircraft.cfg file and add the following entry:(electrical) <------------------------square bracketsmax_battery_voltage=0This will give you unlimited battery...Posted trough a fellow simmer who helped me with this oneuse this only if you dont't have a registered FSUIPCjos
August 5, 200322 yr Responses to all:>Just to make sure we rule out the obvious hereYes to each- but thanks. I usually miss the obvious!>Do you have 'extend battery life' checked in FSUIPC?No can do with the unregistered version of FSUIPC, but I figured the same thing. I went ahead and registered FSUIPC in hopes of this being the solution, but haven't received my code yet. It's the right thing to do, anyway- I owe Pete Dowson for many hours of enjoyment.>(electrical) <------------square brackets>max_battery_voltage=0Excellent- I bet that solves the problem. I'll give it a go and let you know what happens. Thanks for the excellent (and fast!) responses!-Simon(edited to correct typo)
August 5, 200322 yr Simon,I just went and bought FSUIPC out right. And turned the extend battery life with a value of 0, hence its always on :)Cheers,Sean
August 5, 200322 yr I never experienced this prob. start with a 172 and make sure the avionics swich is on. Then select the 737. I have turned on both the ground power and APU generators and not experienced this. -- Iman
