August 11, 200322 yr Hi! Firstly I would like to say that I am very satisfied with my purchase of your fine product 737-NG. But I have encountered a few problems:1. I used the cold and dark situation file and was setting up my plane for a flight. I started the APU and turned on APU generators etc. Then I continued to configure the plane, program the FMC and so on, until suddenly all screens became black and all electronics was turned off.Was it a battery discharge? And in that case, how could it happen when i turned on the APU generators? This happen every time if I am not fast enough to turn on the engines and use that generators instead. I estimate that the time for the "blackout" is about 5 minutes (could be little longer).Any ideas?2. I was standing on the runway and was ready for a take-off. At the moment the left and right tanks was 100 % full and the centertank contained only 200-300 lbs of fuel. When I pushed the throttle and then activated TOGA, the right engine died. I assume that the center tank became empty and the fuel feed to the right engine was cut off. There were no problems to start up the engine again. Did I miss any procedure or did I have an "illegal" setup?3. (The last one) I just entered the cruise part of the flight as I noticed that the speed was quite high. The plane was flying in 315 knots at FL300, which at the moment was equal to mach 0.8. Strange I thought and wondered why didn't the plane fly in mach 0.755 as entered in the FMC (i was using VNAV). I checked the FMC and saw that only 315 was entered in the TGT SPD field?!?. I tried to enter a mach number but without success. I could only change the knots to a lower value. Did I do something wrong or?A picture below with the FMC.CheersMarko Krejic

If your center tank was so close to being empty, you should have turned off the center fuel tank pumps ;-) In the real plane you wouldn't have to, but I highly doubt you would TO with ~ 300 lbs in your center tank and be using that fuel :)That said, however, you shouldn't need to do that. There is logic in place in both the NG and the real plane that will automatically switch the active fuel pumps to the wing thanks at 20lbs remaining in the center tank. This logic has flaws in the NG obviously ;-) I have not been able to set a firm number, but the engine cutoff will only happen if you load your center tank too light. If you put in more than a certain amount, the fuel tank switch happens properly(ie 30% and the engines won't die). Am I being clear enough? I am tired zzzz>>3. Press that :-cool>Did I do something wrong or?I think, and don't quote me on this, the FMC automatically updated your cruise speed based on your flightplans inputted speed values, which probably were 315 kts. I would assume FSBuild attached speed values to your flightplan, that the FMC took a look at and imported. Then again, I don't know if it can do that....Did you manually enter your flightplan or did you import it?OK, enough wild speculaton :-kewl

I try this next time, and will not use the center tank next I have that little fuel there :-roll>>3. August 11, 200322 yr Marko,Regarding your third problem. There seems to be something wrong. If you look at the title on your CRZ page it clearly says ACT 0.75M CRZ meaning it calculates a standard M0.75/315KIAS cruize. But as you clearly state the mach indicator on your PFD shows .799. That to me seems like a faulty value at FL300. Maybe someone can correct me here. Can't really say what's wrong, but something seems to be out of phase. Too bad we can't see the FMA on the top of the PFD. Do you remeber what modes were engaged at the time?Regards, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|

August 11, 200322 yr MarkoOK you engaged LNAV and VNAV! That means the AFDS (A/P and A/T) is engaging three modes. One for speed, one for pitch and one for roll. That is what you see on top of the PFD. That is the important information from the A/P to you as PIC. Any chance you remeber THOSE three modes? ;-) The mode to the top left is speed mode, the middle one is for pitch and the one top right is roll mode engaged.Let's see if we can sort this out! :-)Regards, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
August 11, 200322 yr As for the first question.....open your FSUIPC module and check "extend battery". That should take care of it.Dave FisherCYYZ
