saving / restoring option

Featured Replies

Hi all,I know that there isn't an option that lets you save all the aircraft parameters and the FMC status of the 737 when saving a situation. This is because FS2002 does (of course) not save the 737's parameters in the situation file.I think that this is a feature that is really missing in this product. Anyone knows if such a feature will be provided by one of the next updates? I hope so! If I remember correctly, 7*7pic had such an option :-)Sometimes it's a bit annoying when FS2002 crashes or when you don't have the time to complete a flight and you're not able to restore the aircraft status properly (have to reenter everything in the FMC, set A/P etc.).Nevertheless, it's fun to fly the plane and the problem is not soooooo big because 737 flights are only short or medium distance flights.regardsMalte

Malte,FS does not notify us that it saves the situation. From what I saw in forum, it stopped telling addons since FS2002.anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com

Anthony, but couldn't you create an option in the FMC called "Save Aircraft Status"? Then one would be able to load the aircraft status after having loaded a situation. That would be really great! I think that many users of the 737NG would like to have such an option because sometimes it's annoying when can't continue a flight at a later time!Yesterday my FS2002 crashed after 3 hours in flight...and sometimes you just want to save a flight and continue the next day - WITH the FMC, MCP and everything set correctly.Using the approach of an FMC "SAVE A/C STATUS"-option, you can work around the problem that FS2002 does not notify you on saving a situation. And I think that it's a simple and clean solution.regardsMalte

This is an interesting discussion. I have no idea what is involved with saving all the information for a particular flight but agree that it would be a nice thing to be able to do. You are right in that PIC does have such a feature in FS2002. PIC's "Approach" flight was fun to fly and valuable for learning. [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J.
