September 7, 200322 yr Or perhaps some kind of thought-activated flying system?http://members.ozemail.com.au/~b744er/737/HUD.jpgWhatever it is, it gives you a large headache when you crack your head on it :(Cheers.Ian.
September 7, 200322 yr Actually it's the Heads Up Display (HUD), and the unit just above it is the front projector for the display. Although looking at it, it most certain has a few dents in it from getting up to fast :-hahNick :-abduct
September 7, 200322 yr I didn't though It was that big! Man...better watch out there capt ;)Best,Bruno Francescoli.
September 7, 200322 yr "Yeah seems you have to keep yer head down rather than up... "LOL.... Or perhaps it's name comes from the warning people shout to you when you are just about to hit your head on it? "Heads Up!" ;-)Does anyone know if any aircraft are fitted with two HUDS (Captain's and F/O's). Ours are only fitted with one... Not sure if it's for economic reasons or aviation regulations (???)Cheers.Ian.
September 8, 200322 yr I am not sure but if I recall correctly AA has installed two on some of their 737-NG, not sure though...Best,Bruno Francescoli.
September 8, 200322 yr It might be a option for 2 installed. I see no reference for this in my manuals. We should see this implemented on the NG for the BBJ phase. I would love to be able to use it with the landing panel, now that would be awesome![h4]Best Wishes,Randy J.
