A suggestion for future models...

Featured Replies

Here is a post that was posted in the PSS forum after someone commented that the lights on the PMDG 737Ng were spot on...>I have the 737 and agree it is remarkable>however, it does not have flexing wigs>this feature greatly complicates the lighting effectSo how about it?In real life do the wings on the 737NG flex? If so then why don't we add them to future packages or are they already planned to go into the future models?Just something i'd really like to see in the future.Happy Flying

Liam,as I understand from a previous post on this subject, the wings on actual 737's do not flex. Too short?I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong;-) :-spacecraft

Now how much flexing are we reffering to here???I fly regularly on Qantas and Virgin Blue on there 737NG's and when we taxi along, the wings certainly bounce up and down...so they must have a little flex in them during cruise.Certainly not as much as a 767 and 747!!!hehehehe(p.s. I prefer Qantas service, but I prefer the Virgin Blue (female) Flight Attendants! WOW!)TravisBrisbane, Australia

Thanks, Travis. I've always thought it would look nice to see the wings bounce while taxing but I think it would drive the poly count up to unrealistic levels. I think Vin is working on fully interactive flight attendants! :-sae :-spacecraft

And also when flying through turbulence... the wings on the plane must bounce up and down. I remember a couple of months ago I was on a flight from malaysia - frankfurt and for the first 7 hours, all I could see was the clouds outside the window.... however I was also able to see the wing... which was bouncing up and down in the horrible turbulence we were going through...On the topic of flight attendents though, i really had to feel sorry for them because every time they went to serve a meal they would get about two meals out and then we would hit really bad turbulence and they'd have to secure the trolleys again and sit down x(However.. I really would like to see bouncing wings in turbulence... i reckon it would look great on the model and just give it that touch or realism!
