October 2, 200322 yr Moderator PMDG developers,Last Saturday I posted this message http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=20597&page=2It describes what I think is a bug on the FMC but despite others coming in on the discussion with similar experiences there has been no official response from the PMDG developers. Randy has responded saying he will look into the problem but he is a beta tester - not a developer and as such is limited in what he can do.I post these messages because I am trying to help you. I'm wondering why I bother when no-one from the official site has the civility to at least acknowledge my report. I'm not asking for special treatment or an instant reply - just an acknowledgement that the problem will be looked into and fixed if deemed to be an error. To get a quality product feedback from end users is essential. I'm beginning to wonder if I should bother should I find any other problems. Ray (Cheshire, England). October 2, 200322 yr Ray,as it's been stated before by Robert, the programmers do not always respond to each posting, but they do read them. They are in the middle of intense work on SU2 and there will be an announcement, when Robert feels SU2 is near ready for release, concerning fixes included in the update. We do not ignore you but forgive us if we don't always acknowledge your input. :-spacecraft http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer
October 2, 200322 yr Ray, yes I am a beta tester which MEANS that I am in the know and dealing directly with all issues and checking for fixes etc. So if I am looking into something, trust me the team will also become aware of what I find. Your issue will no longer be a problem in SU2. The FMC you are using has been changed light years ahead so all I acan say is to wait for the patch coming shortly, won't be long..[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. October 2, 200322 yr Author Moderator Hi Pete,I can understand that a programmer may not want to go into detail in a reponse but I feel the poster should at least know his message has been read. I don't feel it's asking too much for an acknowledgement just so I know you guys are aware of the problem. Otherwise I have no way of knowing whether : -1. You haven't read it.2. You have read it and dismissed it as user error.3. It's a valid bug that needs fixing. So please reconsider your policy. If I know you've read it and maybe fixed it I'm not going to waste my time and others by chasing these things up when it may not be necessary. Thanks, Ray (Cheshire, England). October 2, 200322 yr Author Moderator Hi Randy,I didn't mean to belittle your efforts referring to you as a beta tester. Sorry if you took offence.I'm just pleased to see this particular problem has been fixed. I won't ask when the patch will be out - I'll just wait :-)Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
