My initial impression of the PMDG 737

Featured Replies

Exterior Model: flawless, best 3D modeling and animation I've ever seen in Flight Simulation, bar none. I entertained myself all evening lowering and raising the airstairs, hee hee. PerfectSounds: See above statement (just change the context). PerfectPFD and ND gauges: Reality XP/Project Magenta quality, I was blown awayFlight Model: if it were a wristwatch it'd be a Rolex, amazing, perfectThings I'm having trouble with: Cockpit displays are really difficult to read on my 19 inch monitor, especially the MCP and the overhead panel. Still tweaking to see what all the options are for improving.Landing Lights : Really a problem, when fully activated they wash out everything, not really usable in practical terms for takeoff/landing rollout. However, I get really good results by shutting down the main landing lights and just utilizing the Taxi/turnoff lights. The runway is illumintaed perfectly at night using this techinque. Good impression so far. This is an expensive package but I'm willing to pay for quality and precision like this.

Make sure to sign your name to your posts in this forum ;) The MCP is different now (you will have it in the next SU patch coming soon) BUT I do not think it will help you be able to read it better, not sure what you cannot see on it? The Landing lights have been changed too! Much nicer ;)Stay tuned [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg

Glad you like the bird! Could you explain further the problem you are having with the MCP? Is it too small to read? If so, try switching to the approach panel. And Randy is correct, we have dimmed the landing lights considerably for SU2...Vin ScimonePMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.vinscimone.com/dancnkid.gif
