Dual Install FS2002 + FS2004

Featured Replies

Hello PMDG Team, because the DF737 and PSS A320 both are not compatible with the FS2004, I'm thinking about purchasing the PMDG now as it got good test results. I read a test report in the FlightXPress magazine and studied other forums to read about other users' experiences. The point is that PMDG seems to have a hardware/software configuration based product activation which could prevent me from installing two instances on the same PC, one for FS2002 and one for FS2004 as I would like to use the airplane in both Flight Simulator versions. My question: Is this possible or does a reinstallation for the other FS version automatically invalidate the first installation?Best regardsThomas

Hi Thomas, you will have no problems installing into both sims on the same machine ;), I also run it in both sim versions on the same partition.Regards,Bob JonesPrecision Manuals Development [email protected]

Hello Thomas, There is no longer a registration process (serial keys are no longer required). For 99.9% of users, you can install onto both sims (FS2002 & FS9) on the SAME computer without any special efforts or concerns. So to your question, it's possible and as simple as running and pointing the installers to the right directories.. EDIT: Damit Randy, don't you ever sleep!!? Hehe [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Hi Bob and Randy, thank you very much for your fast replies! So there's nothing against purchasing your product ;)Best regardsThomas

But, What about those who just want to put it on FS2002 and can't get it to work and can't find any customer support for this problem. I have done everything by the letter per forum per instalation notes and still I have had this product for a week and still havn't seen it. I have email support help and havn't heard from them. How do you get a refund for an expensive item that doesn't work for 1% of us.David

Well David,First off you should continue the thread you started and go from there. Randy has offered you some help there and if his latest doesn't help you, we go from there. This forum is probably the best source for help for you. You have all the knowledgeable guys and gals here, plus the team. Now the team is very busy trying to get SU2 out the door so they may be a bit slow in response.I think you were on the right path with the reinstallation bit...Hope it helps,

Gee, First of all as of last night my thread had made it to the third page, I felt neglected left out in the cold sort of thing, you know hard luck case no java sort of thing. Then after I send this message, I noticed it was there so my bad on my part. Second forums are what you think, this guy asked what you though, so I shared what I thought, should he not have the good and the bad. I really appreciate the help I was getting from Randy he's been great but as noted in one other thread, that this program seems not to be working on 1% of the machines, so, I am part of that 1% I was asked in this thread what we thought. Shame on me for reply to a man's thread. So hence for, when things don't work and we have question, we shall not ask? Gee sorry! Thanks Randy for your help wherever you are you have been great.David
