Hi Darren,Yes, I've done this before, and I believe it's called by B744 pilots "the homesick Angel", or something like that- a lightly (1hr flight) loaded B744 is like a rocket, even at minimum thrust!I assume customs is done in Melbourne, even though the first port of call is SYD? Qanta do a similar type of flight between LAX and JFK, I believe (which is more like a 5 hour flight).Thanks,Bruce.
