Simple battery getting drained question

Featured Replies

Every time I try to program the FMC without the engines running, the battery keeps dying. I guess the ground power isn't enough to sustain the battery? Anyway, the battery keeps getting drained. The only way I can get everything to come back to life is to start the engines & then turn them off again. At least this buys me some more time until the battery dies again. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Is there a way to program the FMC & NOT have the battery get drained while I do it?Thank you all!Chris

Hi Chris,This has been fixed in the upcoming SU2 update. The workaround til then was to activate the "magic battery" in FSUIPC but you must have a registered version to do this.RegardsPaul Gollnick :-coolTechnical Operations/Customer Operational SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.com

Chris,If you don't have the registered version of FSUIPC, and till the SU2 come up you can use the following tip to sustain battery energy: When the time comes up to open FMC for programming, hit Pause, and then programme your FMC. After finishing with FMC, hit Pause again for the rest of the start up process. The time you are in pause mode no battery energy is used.;-) Hope this helps :-wave RegardsVassilis Beglis
