Engine 2 shutdown

Featured Replies

On 2 occasions I have had engine 2 shut itself down in flight. The first time was when I switched the packs back on after takeoff and the second seems to have happened as the centre fuel tank emptied. I had no problems restarting the engine but I have all failures cleared and was wondering why this happened.Any ideas?ScottYBTL

It's called a *BUG* ;). It is no longer an issue for SU2. It happnes when the center tank goes dry. In real life one should never let the center tank run dry, you should shut the pupms down @1000..... But in case you forget this it will not shut down the engines with SU2..[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Hi Scott,Dont take-off with your packs off. The a/c will not pressurise properly. :) Did you mean the bleeds? A bleeds off take off is fine.Regards,Dinshaw.

awwww, my first bug, errr undocumented feature :-) Not causing any major problems - an in-flight restart ain't a huge problem - the pax were a bit worried though.ScottYBTL
