I did it!!!!!!

Featured Replies

Well I can finaly say I did it!I have landed the 737 NG manualy for the first time without crashing and burning! I was a little off center of the runway but I still landed on the runway!!!! Now to learn the FMC... Did the instant replay and looked out of the wing view... brought back memorys of my flight from LIT to DAL on SWA. Thanks PMDG for such a cool plane!

Congrats! Heres to many more landings :) :-beerchug

Good Job! It took me a while to finally get good at manually landing anything, but once you do it a few times you get the hang of it. I don't ever like to autoland or even single channel, simply because it takes the challenge out completely. I do still use the ILS as reference, but most pilot do when it's available for DME and such.Chris

Congratulations! Practise, practise...I for myself find the 737NG the most realistic thing I fly in FS in terms of handling. It's completely (and I mean completely, because I have them all) different from the rest. And, in my opinion, is one of the easiest to land.I did Kai Tak approaches (BTW: can't wait for the new Flightsoft CD to arrive), Funchal landings etc., and I must say that it's a dream with the 737NG even under worse conditions (gusts, severe turbulences, microbursts, limited visibility etc.).Just taking my usual amout of Valium to keep me calm while waiting for SU2...Andreas

You're doing good if only on Valium! I'm on 225 mg of Effexor XR, 1 mg of Klonopin (equal to 20 mg of Valium), and 5 mg of Zyprexa. If I don't get SU2 by the end of the month, I'm scheduled for a bilateral rostral cingulotomy at Massachusetts General Hospital out of state.Chris

Well, I go to the psychologist tomorrow, so I hope to get some help on my anxiety. If not, I'll need to ask my psychiatrist about augmenting Lithium and maybe a few ECT treatments.

I've now concluded that Randy is actually a sales person for the company that makes Paxil!sj MantelKEWR

good grief... makes what I take look small...250mg Depakote ER10mg Lexapro.Used to take Effexor, till the dang stuff stoped working!A quick question....Can you save replays in fS9 like you could in 2002?

Cool,Now you can quit your job with American Airlines and go fly with for Southwest or Delta. I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding

I actually only take the Effexor and Klonopin (dysthymic and genralized anxiety disorder). Paxil was the one that stopped working for me a few years back. It's called tachyphylaxsis when a medication's efficacy drops off. I'm in school for nursing, by the way.Anyhow, back to the PMDG forum. I'm not sure if you can save replays, because I thought that even 2002 would save them in a different format than windows would play outside the sim. Other than that, I doubt it's any different.Chris
