Alicante and the FMC

Featured Replies

Today I was trying to make a route from Amsterdam (EHAM) to Alicante (LEAL) using the 737-700. I was going through the FMC steps to make the route and when I tried to put the destination (LEAL) the FMC would give me a error. I have a Alicante scenery with a AFCAD2, but I deleted the scenery and tired to make the same route using the default scenery and default parking, but I still got a error when I tried to enter LEAL. Why can't I enter LEAL as a destination in the FMC??

Remember to sign your post's ;)I just tried those two pair's and it work's fine in my -700.What version of navdata are you using. I have 313. LEAL appear in both the PMDG NG and FSNav, so don't know what your problem could be. I did not have any STAR for LEAL but you might try reloading the navdata and see if it might have gotten corrupted.Steve ParkKSDF

Every time I post here I always forget to sign my posts and have to edit it to sign it. :-lolHow do I know what version of navdata I have? Where do I look? Joseph Feleppa

Hello JosephWhat exactly does the error message say?Do you have a sidstar file for LEAL? (check here C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9PMDGSIDSTARS) I have done one but its been overwritten on the navdata site with a new version which I havent tried yet. Otherwise I have no problems with entering LEAL.Try reloading the Navdata http://www.navdata.at/ and the latest sidstar pack from the PMDG download page, be careful not to overwrite non-PMDG sidstars files you want to keep. Can't remember now if LEAL is in the PMDG sidstars downloads pack? You may have to use the file on the Navdata site.Simon

The error I get is: Err at T1, line 109Maybe if I download the PMDG servie update 1.3 it will fix this? I didn't download this update cause I didn't know if I have 1.2 or if I have 1.3 already.Joseph Feleppa

Howdy Joseph>The error I get is: Err at T1, line 109>Maybe if I download the PMDG servie update 1.3 it will fixIt sounds like you are using an old set of terminal procedures that unfortunately had a smattering of syntax errors. Go to the PMDG site and download the current, 0402, version and I'd bet this sort of problem is corrected. They are now 100% checked for syntax errors so you should not get anymore 'error at line XX' stuff. The service update most likely will not make a difference in this situation but you should still install it.RegardsTerry

I downloaded 0402 and tried to make a route from Schiphol to Alicante. I got a error again, this time the error said Err at ALT, line 138. This is getting frustrating.Joseph Feleppa

This is getting frustrating.I still do not have my FMC error out with your two airports but I know why the error now. ALT is a keyword in the SID/STAR/IAP syntax and the FMC used to error when a keyword is used as a transition name, which is the case at LEAL. This was fixed by the version 1.3 service update though. Do you have the 1.3 service update installed? Terry

Thanks stang! I donwloaded and installed the 1.3 service update and now everything works good, no more errors with the FMC. :-)I didn't download the service update before because I thought I had 1.3 already, I guess I didn't.Joseph Feleppa
