March 5, 200422 yr Hi there, why does the autobrake not disengaged unless fully stoped? Will this be fixed with the 800-900 series? How does thereal thing operate, do they normally disengage below 40 knots like the airbus?Thans,David David
March 5, 200422 yr Hi DavidThis is how the real thing works. At least from reading on www.smartcockpit.com. According to this site the auto brake will bring the aircraft to a complete stop unless manual intervention occurs. There are several ways to manually intervene the auto brake action.1. By barking manually2. By setting the auto brake button to OFF3. By moving the speed brake lever to DOWN4. By advancing the thrust lever, except during the first three seconds after touchdown or landing.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|

March 5, 200422 yr >Thanks Matts,>I'll try your suggestions...>>DavidOne other thing, the PMDG is not quite accurate in that when you intervene, the knob moves to off. In the real airplane, I believe that the autobrakes disengage, but you have to manually set the lever to off.
March 6, 200422 yr That is correct Tim ;). The autobrakes will be revisted for the 800-900, it would have been fixed already except that they did not want to hold off on last patch because of some unforeseen issues the autobrake fix caused.Randy Smith Randy J Smith
