March 10, 200422 yr I think I do something wrong from the very beginning.Which are the fuel cutoff switches? They is supposed to be on the Throttle panel but I am not sure I have found them. I think it

March 10, 200422 yr OqvistPlease sign your posts with your name. ;-)You are right about the fuel cutoff switches. In their down detent they shut off the fuel to the engines. In their idle/up detent they are open. You can start the APU regardless of their position. (You might wanna use the APU in flight when you loose both engine driven generators ;-))The battery switch is covered with a safety guard. That is the black cover. Underneath the black cover you have a regular toggle switch. The purpose for the guard is to make it difficult for the crew to make a mistake turning for example the battery bus OFF. So, when the black guard is down. The battery bus switch is ON. This is most likely the cause why you can't start your APU. It needs battery or ground power to start. The blue lights are lights for various items such as generator drive relays, fuel valves and anti-ice valves. If they are bright blue you have a disagrement between the valve/relay position and your switch. If they are dimly lit the valve/relay is open. For normal operation all blue lights should be extinguished except for anti-ice which should be dimly lit when you require anti-ice.I think you should consider having the Aircraft Operations Manual beside you as well as the tutorial flight manual as these things are mentioned there ;-)Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
March 10, 200422 yr Author Oh I thought the username had to be your name. Why should I sign it with my name? That I do when sending letters and emails and such but on the forums everyone know who you is anyway by your username?Anyway there is two batteri switches?? One with a safety cover and one without? When choosing that without the safety cover it seemed to work fine? It was a switch to the upper left of the safety cover switch. Ain

March 11, 200422 yr Author I think I succeeded now. I just had to wait until that needle rised a bit. However then it went back down is that normal?Anyway the APU gen lights turned blue which means they are available but off? So when hitting the APU GEN switches and those are turned black again I got my APU running? Also that multiswitch for the APU should it be at standby default or at APU gen position which is straight up?
March 11, 200422 yr Author Okay I even got an engine running now.I tried to start the right one but only the left would ignite???? And no matter what I did I couldn
March 11, 200422 yr Author But I followed the tutorial to the letter so it should work. I got it messed up of course I could take off no problem at all. Just set toga power and off I go. The problem was when I was some 1000 feet out and engaged the autopilot A. Then I pushed the vnav and lnav button but it wouldn
March 12, 200422 yr Author Yeah that make sense. I was going in a path 90 degree from my flight path so that may very well be the reason. Will try it again. Noticed there was an updated tutorial at avsim so I will try that one too. It looks like the navdata is obsolete since I downloaded the latest and doesn
