B1900 Nav lights kills my FPS

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,Whenever I fly the Beech 1900 I get great framerates except when in the spot view with the nav lights on. As you can see in the pictures with nav lights off I get 30 FPS and with the nav lights on it drop to 16, almost half of my frame rate is slashed, that's quite a major drop. Help PMDG guys!Nav Lights off - 30.6 FPShttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/67079.jpgNav Lights on - 16.6 FPShttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/67080.jpgThank you for your help,Nick

I should have mentionned my computer specs, they are P4 2.4 Ghz, Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 @ 128 mb, 1G of RAM. I tried the nav lights on the 737NG and it doesn't have any impact on my FPS.Nick

I agree it is not different than other a/c. Thaey all seem to give about a 25% hit in frame rates. Sounds like a project for a good coder to me.JohnBAW317 >Captains,>>The PMDG Express B1900D Nav lights are no different than other>airplanes that fly MS Flight Sim.>>Suggestions:>>Make sure Transform and Lighting is set to on in>Settings>Display>Hardware>>Make sure hardware rendered lights is set to 8 in>Settings>Display>Hardware>>>Vin>PMDG>www.precisionmanuals.com>http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg

Well my rendered lights setting was at 6 and moving it at 8 made no difference. My Transform and lightning was already on.I have no FPS drop in any other aircraft, I tried in the default Cessna, Captain Sim 727, Real Air SF.260, Flightcraft A330.Hope you can help me Vin,Thank you,Nick

For me...every single plane I use...NAV lights hit on frames!I just choose to fly with strobes and beacons only!

Captains. An unusual problem indeed. The B1900 does use 4 nav lights (2 on each wing very close together). Perhaps there is a conflict with having nav lights so close (Stranger things have happened in MSFS). We'll take a look under the hood and see if we can't work out a tweak.VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg
