Gentleman,I am personally dissapointed that the 800/900 series will not be compatible with FS2002.Until this message you never mentioned any compatibility issues with the FS2002. Now, just a few weeks before release you simply say - bad luck - it is too complicated to make it work. What were the results of your compatibility investigation before making the compatibility announcement back in 2003 ? At least myself, i spent so much money for FS2002 and i will not do the same again for FS2004, all the tools, sceneries just to be able to use the 800-900 series.Regards, Jens

Jens-we fully understand this is an uncomfortable situation for a select few of our customers who prefer to stick with FS2002, however, as Robert clearly explained in his post, it has become a total support and configuration nightmare to have to maintain two versions of our product. At the same time, maintaining compatibility with FS2002 meant that we'd have to miss out on some VERY important new features in FS2004 that we really wanted to offer our customers (such as VC rain, etc.)Simply put, if we had a choice, we'd have preferred to keep supporting both, but we simply can't.Your frustration is fully understood, though...

Lefteris - thanks for your reply. I fully understand from your point of view. It would not make much sense to raise ongoing trouble just for compatibility. However, i wish you guys success and i still keep flying the 737 in the good old FS2002.jens

Lefteris..I am just woundering if it would be possible to modify the 800/700 to work in FS2002. Using the panel/sounds that we got from the 600/700 package. If we went and brought this package instead of the FS2004 package... we agree not to complain and get no support. I believe this would be fair and most people that still use FS2002 would be more than happy if this could be done. Its just an idea and probably impossible. I too am very dissapointed to hear it will not work in FS2002 and will not spend more money to get FS2004 running. Although I fully understand your reasons and if in your position, I would have done the same.. fully understandable.Cheers,Ryan
