INSTALLATION OF 737 - 800/900

Featured Replies

I recently downloaded your B737-600/700 aircraft and was very impressed with it. When your 800/900 version came out I downloaded that to.Unfortunately, despite having the 600/700 already installed on my D: drive, the installer for the 800/900 only appears to be checking my C: drive and informs me that I must install the 600/700 before the 800/900 can be installed.I am using a Windows XP Home Edn OS and using your aircraft in FS2002 which is installed on my D: drive a seperate drive and not a partition.Grateful for your advice on this.Malcolm Emslie

Malcolm,I'm sorry to inform you that the -800/900 only works with FS2004.This was also stated in red bold letters on the sales page. Why not upgrade to FS2004?Cheers,

you do mean purchased and downloaded right? Andrew

Mats,Thanks for your reply. Silly me! Never mind I will install when I switch to FS2004 or FS9 whatever, when I upgrade my PC early next year.I find that I can only get reasonable satisfaction from the flt sim if I can achieve a frame-rate of around 50 fps with everything maxxed out on the display sliders.Hence I lasted with FS98 until mid 2002 when I got a P4 chip to run FS2002 reasonably (ie some areas like around San Diego and Seattle still chop things down to around 20 frames per sec).Have purchased FS2004 and it runs OK on my latest PC but I am hanging with 2002 until my next motherboard and chip upgrade (probably an AMD 64 bit working model and a Windows 64 bit system). Suspect that the next FS version may be 64 bit working.Anyway thanks for saving me a lot of hassle and yes I am stupid in reading the big bold print (too busy looking at the fine print).Have you seen the Tempest MkVI from David Hanvey. Lovely.I am in the Falkland Islands until end of Jul and so I see lots of Tornados, VC-10s, C-17s and Airbus A330-200 and A320s coming and going around my little house which is on the main base.Blue skies.Malcolm

it takes 25-30(depending on which system) to achieve ONE smooth second of frames so to speak. so if you want 50 be my guest but its rather useless.. btw, thats one hell of a system you got there :-)
