A problem on the ground - Please help!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,I had just completed a flight in the -600 yesterday. I quit flightsim, went and had my tea and then came back to fly the return flight. I fired up flightsim, entered all my settings, hit 'Fly Now' and when it had loaded it was fine for about 3 seconds then the aircraft suddely titled left as though it was sinking into the ground on the port side. As it got to a certain point (Nearly 90 degrees) it 'bounced' up into the air and then did a nose dive back to the ground. It then kept bouncing and nose-diving. I quit the sim, reset my computer, tried, didn't work. I have tried reinstalling the plane but that hasn't worked. Do I really have to resort to reinstalling the sim?It happens at any airport, and I have never had any trouble before. I didn't make any changes to the sim or computer in between the flights, just shut it down then fired it up again.Any advice would really be appreciated.Regards,Tom

Well if you do not want to re-install try turning off crash detection..[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpgAMD 64 3200+ | ASUS KV8 DELUXE | GFORCE 5700 ULTRA @535/1000 | WD SATA 80 GIG | 512 DDR 400 |

Thanks for the reply,Crash detection was already off. I guess I'll have to reinstall FS :-(

Tom,Are you really running with the latest SU on this one? I remember having this issue on the 1.0 as this was caused by the APU and an emtpy fuel tank. But this was rectified in later releases. Can you check please?Hope it helps,

John - as said in the original message:>It happens at any airport, and I have never had any trouble>before. I didn't make any changes to the sim or computer in>between the flights, just shut it down then fired it up>again.Matt - Thanks for the advice - How do I get the latest SU?

Sorry, I have it now, I will download it now and see if it works. Thanks again for the replies everyone!

Hi Tom,You may already have tried this but... Try setting up the sim with all the settings you want, BUT leave the aircraft set as the default Cessna. Click on Fly Now and see what happens. If the sim remains stable, replace the Cessna with your aircraft of choice and again see what happens. Starting with a default aircraft may just reset some skewed variables.Hope this helps,Chris Kirk

Thanks very much for the replies.I have reinstalled flightsim and that seems to have sorted the problem out.Once again, thanks for you help everyone!
