I did some searching, but could find this topic, so i hope not to dig up a buried problem. The fact is simple: i'd really love to use some hardware with such a peace of software like the PMDG 737 NG.I have some suggestions for you PMDG guysfirst: just make it possible to configure any command (pretty much like PSS with the bus used to do) and link to keyb commands or the likes; and use some standard offset values, and some custom (just like mr Schiratti does for his PM soft)second: make an external module, purcheasable apart from the standard interface, that eighter reads default offsets, or the same PM custom offsets (they are public in the FSUIPC docs, so you could use them), or some new customized onesI think this second option would really put you on the podium of the best simulation world developers, really!I think this would be the all sim entusiasts dream! And using existing offsets would make it really easy (PM has offsets for nearly anything, and since PMDG comes with everything you need, it would be normal not to use any PM thing, so offsets would be free for you). Now i would really be eager to pay (a reasonable amount obviously) for a module that let's me interface my beloved PMDG to any external hardware.Anyway, you're better informed on your work so you know better then me what you can/can't/will/won't do.I just hope that in time i will be able to use a beautiful MCP with the best commercial FS airplane ever :)Claudio

Claudio,Check out the Home cockpit builders forum a bit further down on the AVSIM forum list. Cheers,

I use to check it, and am a bit into the home-cockpit matter. That's why i dream of an easy access to the beloved variables of the NG :)But if there is something specific i may have overlooked, well let me know :)Claudio

Hi Claudio, I've been checking the Home Cockpit forum all the time and you won't find any secrets for accessing the NG, apart from the keyboard commands listed in the PMDG drop down. You still can't find anyway to access the overhead commands or most of the lights, unless you want to do it from an additional monitor. I posted some months ago and also emailed, asking about an SDK so that we could develop a way to get rid of the mouse and have real world inputs like switches and rotary encoders to really get flying. At that time, I was told that an SDK was "in the works". The fine folks here at PMDG haven't let me down yet and I have every reason to keep the faith. I'm sure they sorta have their hands full right now. I wonder just how many of us there are that would benefit from the publishing of an SDK?

Hi Nameless (Please provide your posts with your real name as per the forum rules)>I wonder just how many of us there are that would benefit from the >publishing of an SDKNot many, not many at all. We simpit builders can be counted on a couple of dozen of people's fingers... lol. Go figure that one! ;-)But would be wonderful if PMDG would provide an SDK for the few of us. Let's keep our fingers crossed. (Oh, and I'm doing what I can from within...lol)Cheers,

Hi Guys,I've been trying to get some info for a while now on an SDK from PMDG for their 737NG series but I keep getting told its on the way. But from what I have been told its only for the current functions available through keyboard commands. What they need to produce is an SDK that provides offsets for every function and light within the 737NG sim. I know the SDK may only be for a small community of simpit builders but would make the PMDG software nothing like anything before.I have spoken with Pete Dowson through his Forum about a SDK from PMDG and would he incorporate it into his software. The reply was, if it was reasonably easy to understand (the SDK) he would give it a go.Like you guys said, PMDG haven't let us down before and I'm willing to wait if there going to produce a complete SDK. It would be nice to hear from them on this matter.Regards,

Hmm....Sayting "we are not so many" doesn't seem a good point, because the same should have said Enrico Schiratti, don't you think? But Enrico is well in his businness :)Sure, his soft has many more applications, but i think that an integrated solution by the makers of such a complex product (PMDG), that allows everyone to use the airplane in an home cockpit, is what many many many many simmers are looking for!I was confronted with this problem countless times: why should i put money in something like that, if i can't have a working plance, but some patched up collage of air files and models? What's the point of haveing a cockpit (or part of it) if you lack all the logic? That's why i believe such an unprecedented solution would cut in.Claudio
