I Read that i must have required softwarebelow to get PMDG B737-800/900 to work.FS2004 (FS9, A Century of Flight)But i have a question!If i have FS2004 (FS9)in order is thePMDG B737-800/900 compatible withMicrosoft Windows 2000 or must i have WinXP?Regards:// Peppe/SAS749

Operating system is not an issue as far as i know. But recent systems (like win2000 or XP) are better for FS itself.Note that i'm not a PMDG representative.CiaoClaudio

Peppe,Here's a quote from the PMDG site regarding the 737-800/900:"Product Compatibility: FS2004 (FS9), requires 737 The Next Generation Base Product + WinXP only"...although I'm given to understand it works OK with Windows2K.Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/sbird.jpgwww.BAVirtual.co.uk[p]Officially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo[/p]

Well, since I don't personally use W2k I can't speak with any authority, but it seems there are those hanging around the forum who do use this O/S with success.Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/sbird.jpgwww.BAVirtual.co.uk[p]Officially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo[/p]

Hi! FWIW I'm using win 2k... I must admit I haven't used the 8/900 much but the short hops i made after I bought it brought no particular problems with it :) Bye, Luca

All that means is that SUPPORT is not offered IF you are running anything other than Win XP and FS2004. Is seems to work ok in Win 2000 as one of the team members (John) runs with it.[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Peppe,I was using fs2k2 on win98se and had loads of trouble. I upgraded to xp with fs9 and everything is 50% better now. Most add-ons are now based on xp, you would need to download runtime files from M/S in order to get some results, but even then my setup was pitifulWith xp the whole plot is a lot more stable, so my recommendation is to save the pennies and go for the upgrades, you would not be sorry.

Yes, and I believe PMDG modeled their airplanes with a 3D language native in Windows XP, but can be downloaded for older versions of windows.Nick B.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg--AMD Athlon XP 3200+ @ 2.25 Ghz (405 mhz FSB)Soyo VIA KT600 Dragon PlusnVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 mb2 x 512 PC400100 GB Western DigitalMicrosoft Sidewinder Precision 2
