All of which have no relevance whatsoever in how FS genrates weather locally (meaning a single spot in space).

I guessed once and Ryan confirmed it was right... so i'll just repost it. FSX hasn't exactly defined places where it rains. it just has some "stats". If you go in a certain direction it will PROBABLY be raining. There is no precipitation map in the FSX weather model, so there is no way of knowing if in a precise spot say 10 nm in front of you an 10° to the right there will be rain or not.This makes the creation of a realistic WX radar impossibile. EDIT: realistic meaning realistic, not realistic looking.

Considering where the accidente happened (Georgetown) and that the route was from Port of Spain to Georgetown... i suspect it DID in fact get into the air :-)

just a consideration about 6-7 vs 8-900 series. 736: 69 planes built, no orders73G: 1049 built, 421 orders738: 2159 built, 1495 orers739: 52 built, no orders739 ER: 84 built,. 201 orders (source wikipedia) I prefer the 700 too, but there are more 800 around than all the others together :-) All in all i think it's a great pricing, hoping the expansions don't take too much work and will be very low priced :-D

Autobrake will modulate to obtain a certain deceleration (from 4 ft/sec up to 14 ft/sec, i suppose it's sec^2 but the manual says otherwise :) ), it doesn't know of distances. Given a target deceleration using reverse and spoilers reduces the required brake pressure. Luca

Fsinn isn't a "voice" client. at least not only. Did you install the correct version for your OS and did you follow the VATSIM forums sticky post for problem resolution? that's the wing strobe.... on some flashes you can notice it's a light beam starting from the wing tip.

I asked more than once if there was ANY chance of having an ACARS SDK available, unfortunately i got no answer. I think i could find a place on a server to put some METAR and ATC interaction code. :( My hope is that PMDG is leaving some interface open to possibly add this at a later time.

jumpseat flying is difficult everywhere even more after 9/11 but it sometimes just goes well, most companies don't have a real ban on it.. I once had to fly to Rome from Milan and started asking aroud if anybody had some contacts to get a visit in the cockpit and everybody said "impossible after 9/11". Well I got my lucky day. Being the first to board the plane i asked the FA at the door if there was any chance to visit the cockpit and was told "I'll see what can be done", well i was lucky as i had a hat from the italian ATC staff (taken at a fair a bit of time earlier) i sat in the first rows and during pre flight the FO came over to have a chat asking if i was an ATC or pilot ("both, virtual :(") and we had about 5 minutes chatting about FS, VATSIM and so on. He then had work to do... i thought it didn't work out when at the start of descent the FA told me i had been invited upfront... the captain had a look at me and told the FA i'd remain for the rest of the flight, strapped me in the jumpseat and so i had my landing in LIRF from the cockpit. GREAT experience. I was going to an airshow but i really didn't care anymore :D Just ask, if you don't ask they won't invite you... and what can happen? at most they tell you "no we can't let anybody on the flight deck" ;)

For the LCF there are no missions (at least i couldn't find them :) ) you can load and unload the aircarft at any airport. Missions would be great for tutorials and for the failure systems. Happy Holidays everybody!
