May 27, 200422 yr Yesterday I installed the UT palmspotter and TCAS into the PMDG 737NG aircraft series and after one successful flight FS9 refused to restart complaining that control.dll was unuseable then I got the FS9 has to shutdown message. As the only change I had made in recent days was the UT palmspotter & TCAS install into the PMDG 737NG I suspected this. A sucessfull FS9 reboot minus the PMDG aircraft seemed to confirm this was indeed the cause. I attempted to fix the problem by commenting out the relevant panel cfg entries but this didn't work. I then deleted my whole PMDG installation and reinstalled from scratch (quite a business - it would be good if this could be steamlined in some way). Everything seems to be working again but is this a known issue? I simply installed the UT stuff using the same procedure that works for other aircraft including 3rd party aircraft such as the PSS airbus series.Bruce Bartlett Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." May 27, 200422 yr Author Thank you for the feedback. Not sure what is going on here then because if it was not the UT tools install then what? The only way I could get FS9 to start was to delete the PMDG files so something happend to corrupt them. But as I now have a clean back up of the PMDG files I will repeat the UT tools install and see if the problem re-occurs.Bruce Bartlett Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened."
