June 28, 200421 yr As the 747 is a long range aircraft, I hope we find some way to save the flight so we can do it over a period of time instead of one sitting. I know about FS9 limitations and would love the 747 by PMDG but hate the idea of limiting where I can fly by my own time limitations.John
June 29, 200421 yr We all agree with you on this one... not making any promises, but I'd be quite upset if I wouldn't be able to stop and save. ;)Stay tuned for some announcements.Sincerely,
June 29, 200421 yr I think he means he doesn't have the time to do 8+ hours of flying in one sitting.
June 29, 200421 yr Aswell as a stop and save function I'd love a skip to next waypoint/next waypoint before TOD function. That way you can just fly the departure and approach and forget about the long boring cruise. ;-)Paul
June 29, 200421 yr Not me although flying for 8+ hours is not my norm. I have a job also. FS9 has limitations in how much and type of data it saves with the flight.
June 29, 200421 yr I believe that JC Oliviera has a utility that automatically "pauses" the sim when you get near your destination.Oh, and while I still am amazed by this, I did issue a clearance to a 747 Quantas cargo pilot a few months ago, on a weekday, for Sidney from Denver, about 12-13 hours I guess, and this was online, so some people do it :)
June 30, 200421 yr Not all 747 flight are long range! Qantas does 1 hour demestic hops in Australia using the 747-400. Look at Japan. ANA uses the 747-400 with out winglets on there domestic flights! I will be doing alot more short hops in my 747-400. 15hr flight bore me! My limit is about 4 hrs.
June 30, 200421 yr well, marc, not everyone. i never pause, dont care how long, im a realism freak, i go all the way or none, but im a 15 year old, its summer, no job, so i got all the time in the world, but i understand the saving thing for other people with jobs and stuff.adam
