July 5, 200421 yr Hi All,Is there a way to import an FS2002 flight plan into the PMDG 737 FMC ?I looked in the doc's and seen how to load a saved flight plan but din't see anything on importing FS2002 flight plansMany thanks for any help you can give me !Scott
July 5, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi Scott,The PMDG 737 FMC does not use default FS2002 or FS2004 flight plans due to the limitations of those flightplans. Try FS Build http://www.fsbuild.com/Best,Vin ScimonePMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com

August 6, 200421 yr I've been trying to do the same thing, this solution is not as good as the PSS method but it is better than nothing, or at least it would be if i could get PLN2RTE to work; please someone tell me how to do it i am slowly going mad here.I do not have the time or desire to look up the names of hundreds of waypoints and then enter them into a keypad. What i wish to do is make a flight in FS9, log it, enter it in the FMC, MFDU or GPS take off swithc on the Auto pilot and fly to where i am going. this is what i do with all my planes except the 737NG the only way i can get that to work is by hand flying it. not something i realy want to do with a jet, i have loads of small planes for that. with the linners my desire is to set and forget till i get to the destination.Ideally i could do all this from within FS9 like i can with all my other planes that have an Auto pilot, because it takes ages to exit and re-enter FS, but doing that would be a resonable compremise. the only other alternate method i can see to get the correct flightplan is to print it out and coppy pages of data into the FMC so i can be sure the ATC is using the same flight plan as me.
August 6, 200421 yr I have downloaded FSBuild and PLN2RTE, but try as i might i cannot make a flightplan that is recognised by the 737 FMC, i am getting fed up with flying VFR in this plane even if it is very good, i dot want to have to only use my PSS fleet when i wish to fly other than GA.I have read through all the manuals but i have trouble remebering more than a page at a time.could it be that these programs do not work with FS9?
August 6, 200421 yr You could always just make a flight plan in the Flight Planner in FS9, print it and insert everything into the FMC. You can also bring your plan up by hitting F10 when flying the PMDG Works for me.
August 6, 200421 yr Don't know if this is the issue with pln2rte or not but here is an issue I found with the fsnav export module. When the .rte file is saved the filename needs to end in a 3 digit number i.e. kmiakjax001.rte The module wasn't doing this by default and once I went in and added the numbers all was well and the FMC would recognize it and load. Also be sure when trying to load an exported plan the you are clicking on the LSK for CO Route. Hope this helps out somehow.Regards,
August 6, 200421 yr I've managed to get PLN2RTE to work, i was trying to drag the pln into the exe file as is the nomal way of doing this sort of thing but i should have dragged it into the adress thingy. Only trouble is none of the flight plans work even the ones made with the FMC, the FMC does not recognise any of the data and even EGLL is invalid data, i think i might be stuck with hand flying this this as i do not have the time to spend a couple of hours before a flight entering hundreds of way points :(Is there anyway i can use the Airbus MFDU in the NG? it is a far more user friendly item.
August 6, 200421 yr Honestly, I think you just need to spend some time with the available documentation on the PMDG website. The FMC works absolutely brilliantly. You just need to know how to do it. In a short, key in your origin airport for pos ref. i.e. kmia, press the lsk for pos ref airport. NOW go to index navdata (on the right hand side) select the corresponding LSK for your saved plan, go back to Route and select the LSK for CO ROUTE. Barring that, RTFM.Regards,
