B1900 Rolls freely from side to side on T.Off

Featured Replies

Hi, starting my takeoff roll I have noticed the plane wants to go right, then left and it takes all my concentration to keep it straight on the centre line until rotation. I have installed the latest upgrade, but I will observe closely next time just to see if it happens again. Maybe it was a one time thing and just a matter of reloading FS9. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Also, I use Ken Salter's indespensible FSAutoStart, but I doubt it has anything to do with some program I have closed.Regards,Tom Stewart

Keep the nose down on t/o until V1 (push on the yoke), that will help the front gear hold the centerline better. The other thing I notice with my rudder is how sensitive it is. It's rather easy to over correct for slight deviations due to wind or other ground effects, especially with the "light" 1900D (compared to say, the 747 "whale"). The new FSUIPC 3.3 has a new "slope" feature to change the response curve of the joystick/rudder that will greatly help with the sensitivity issue (need a registered copy though).

Thanks Etienne, I do have the latest version of FSUIPC. What do I need to do within FSUIPC to change the settings for the slope? Thanks again,Tom
