No Dome Lights in 2d panel

Featured Replies

How do you get the dome lights on in the 2d panel? I can get them on in the virtual cockpit, then the panel light button will not work. At night the 2d panel is dark with only panel label lighting. Is this the correct night lighting in the 738 or a bug?

I too have the same problem and selected the VC aircract but the dome lights still do not come on at night. I can read the panel labels by turning on the panel lights (using the switch or shift-L) but cannot see the switches.

Ms/Mr namelessPlease sign your post as per the forum rules. You've read them right?> I can read the panel labels by turning on the panel lights (using > the switch or shift-L) but cannot see the switches. As I understand it you only get a partial domelight? Only affecting the panels but not the switches and buttons? Could you provide a screen shot?Cheers,

Mats,I apologize that I had not read the rules (promise to, though) but quickly joined to see if I could resolve this issue. I have attached some screenshots as an example (after changing hardware rendered lights setting to 8). I've also included a screenshoft of the default 737 panels to demonstrate that switches do illuminate on other panels on my monitor.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/86242.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/86243.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/86244.jpgCheers and Thanks,Ken Catando

While you are reading the rules try looking at the Avsim posting rules that require you to have no more than 800x600 file size ;D As for the upper panel lighting, that is the upper panel's night lighting. If you look at the default pics you posted, notice that the red is not really the color of the panel only a default night color displayed and when you turn that off you have only some gauge back-lighting but the panel remains dark. On the PMDG the panel lighting was changed with the 800-900, the bright ares will only be on the MCP panel, the other areas have the lettering highlighted. There is no FLOOD panel lighting..Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith

P M D G's 747-400

coming to a runway near you
Caution!
