August 22, 200421 yr Hoi all,I'm a new user (about a month) of PMDG 600/700/800/900.The planes are great! But there are two things that I want to ask you:- I had this a couple of times on takeoff. I calculated the fuel with wind, alternate, taxi and holding fuel. It was about 7000lb fuel more than I needed for that flight. At Vr on takeoff roll the FMC calculate the fuel needed for the flight based on the current fuel flow and offcoarse it was insufficient. At liftoff the autothrottle disconected and power droped. I had this problem a coupled of times. Also in the middle of a flight I get the INSUFFICIENT FUEL on the CDU but I can fly to my destination whitout a problem. WHY?- second thing that is strange is that the Optimal FL is higher than te Maximum FL. This is not possible.I'm sorry for my English but I tryed....... :-)Erik Wachters
August 22, 200421 yr Hi Erik, the FMC alert that lights up during the take-off is a regular occurence, when the calculation to the destination is based on the current flowrate during take-off. I just click the alert away, and it never reoccurs after you accomplished a steady flight.
