September 16, 200421 yr Hi,I was trying to set up the FMC for a flight, EGPF to EGLL, when I put in "EGPF" as the dep airport on the route page, the following message was displayed.EGPF err: GLG unknownI am using Airac 0409 and the updated EGPF SID/STAR from NAVDATA.Looking in FMCWPNAVDATA i noticed that GLG (NDB) was not present but, GLA was, I changed that and then rerun FS9.Trying to setup FMC again I received another error message GOW(followed by a number).I realise that this question involves third party information but, does anyone know how I can cure this, it used to work before I reinstalled everyhting.ThanksTerry
September 16, 200421 yr Terry,With every AIRAC there are changes. The AIRAC files (in %FS-root%FMCWPNAVDATA) and your procedures files (in %FS-root%PMDGSIDSTARS) will have to match.THe most likely culprit is that your procedures file for EGPL is not up to date with the present AIRAC. If the EGPL file is from PMDG check on their web site for an updated set of procedures files. I know Terry Yingling does this every AIRAC change. Terry also has his own site where he keeps these files. If the EGPL file is from another user you have to check with that user or turn to NAVDATA at www.navdata.at to se if someone has updated your particular file. This is unless you want to update it yourself of course. In that case there's a good tutorial on writing procedures files on the PMDG website by siad Terry Yingling. :-)Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
September 16, 200421 yr Hi there,Having similar problems, any chance you could direct me to Terrys tutorial on writing SID/STARS please. Many thanks, Garry
September 16, 200421 yr Terry, as Mats pointed out, there has been changes-renaming for a lot of wps for EGPF, especially in the SID's. so I think some of the procedures must be rewritten. You may also check out the latest charts. It looks like the author is going to release a bunch of updates for the latest airac over the weekend, have a look at his website here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/simon.butler2...usefulfiles.htm.FYI, the PMDG_PROCEDURES_0409 are working for EGPF, although they are not complete.Garry, you can find the tut's in the library, "making_737ng_procedures_v4.zip" and "making_737ng_procedures_v4_correction.zip". http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/checkcapt.jpg
September 17, 200421 yr Hi thanks for your help I will check Simons Site later.I think I have found a typo in his SIDS (GOW80 instaed of GOW08) and (GOW21 instead of GOW12), that got rid of two error messages but, then others apppeared. He is certainly up to date witht he new waypopints (begin with X, can't remember them)I was hoping to entwer the SIDS from Simons Procs into Terrys, but, time got the better of me last night.Cheeersterry
