September 16, 200421 yr What do i have to do to make my PMDG Tcas work within the cockpit.Sometimes i see my planes in visual range without seeing them in my TCAS screen.Do i have to setup (via styles) my tcas with the option A: FSUIPC controlled or FS2004 internally controlled? Also my TCAS is on TA/RA like in real life. Are their perhaps any other things i don't see at this moment?greetings...Tom
September 16, 200421 yr Need a bit more information. First the easy questions:1) Do you have the 800/900 and running it in FS2K4? TCAS is only available through the 800/900 product using FS2K4.2) Does the TCAS system test work?3) Have you pressed the TFC button?4) Does TCAS pick up standard FS2K4 traffic? In my experience, the PMDG TCAS detection option should be set to FS2K4 internal. September 16, 200421 yr Also, unless the planes are a possible threat, you shouldn't see them on the ND. This is how it works on the real NG. If you want to see them you have to select the option that says "Show all non-threatening traffic" - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
September 17, 200421 yr Ok, i found the problem....show all non threatening traffic was not selected....now it shows all planes....thanks anyway....also it was checked by FSUIPC and now i've selected it to FS2K4 internally...greetings...have nice flights!
September 17, 200421 yr Commercial Member >Ok, i found the problem....>show all non threatening traffic was not selected....Just to make sure there are no misunderstandings. What you have selected now is NOT how it is in the real bird, so it's not a "problem" you've solved but chosen the more unrealistic way.Regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
September 17, 200421 yr To my information, it is not "unrealistic" to have non-threatening traffic on TCAS... It depends on the airline! In Hapag-Lloyd NG's for example, non-threatening traffic is shown!Best regards,Matthias
September 18, 200421 yr Commercial Member Matthias, interesting! I've heard both, airplane specific or airline specific. Maybe PMDG could confirm? Is it company specific to have non-threatening traffic on TCAS?Regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
