VC texure at dusk/nighttime doesnt look right.

Featured Replies

Guys,I have a problem here and the prob didnt go away even after i updated my PMDG 737 to tthe 800/900 version. When flying at dusk, the some parts of the VC panel (i.e. MCP panel) turns to night lighting mode while some parts(main instrument panel) remains as if it was day time. This problem occurs with dome light off.Has anyone had similar experiences and maybe you could offer a solution? thanks in advance

Hi,This occurs when trying to operate light without having battery power on. It's a small flaw as it's not supposed to be that way.Work around is to ensure battery power is on befroe trying to use any electrical eqpmnt on the craft. ;-)Hope it helps,

Thanks for replying Matt... but i get the same prob with battery on as well...I will post a screenie of the phenomenon when i get home tonite.

Ahh...I re-read your initial post and you are clearly stating you see this in the VC. This is due to FS nightlighting incapabilities. In some dusk/dawn scenarios you can get strange results due to the fact FS is loading night textures but you are fine with day textures and vice versa.I think Vin could explain this better. ;-)Hope it helps,

Well no this is a panel loading issue that sometimes happes in flight simulator. Simply recycle the panel lights L on and off to cure it...Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J.
