FS Navigator can be downloaded for free starting next week

Featured Replies

The Author of FS Navigator which is a great program I use all the time, has annonced on the forum on their web site that the program will be available "with an activation key" , for download , starting next week. He apparently is retiring and this is his parting gift to everyone. Good way to save +$40. www.fsnavigator.com

Apparently that might have been a hoax. He is retired, but the program is NOT going to be made freeware.* Orest-~~~~~~~~~Orest SkrypuchUAL1445 DENFOCYFD - Canada

Who is going to take over it the support and everything?

>Who is going to take over it the support and everything? From what I've gathered, and I have no inside source, the program support has been withdrawn as it was overwhelming. I guess there was a lot of flack as well, when the program went payware, I think he just had enough of it. Apparently he also moved recently to Canada. If this is all true, then I expect that the program will be allowed to languish. But as long as it still works (apart from the Sid/Star updates), I will certainly still use it. I did already pay for it! Ideally the source code would either be sold, or made open source. It would be a shame to lose it.-~~~~~~~~~Orest SkrypuchUAL1445 DENFOCYFD - Canada
