I have the same problems (2 or 3 degrees of mag var. deviation) in ALL scenery with my PMDG.Intercepting a VOR radial is diferent from intercepting the samer radial using the FMC programed route.How can we fix this?

Hi, Ok guys, I must apologize for not having read this thresd esrlier although I do read most of the threads of this and other forums. To make a long story short the culprit is a file called magdec.bgl located in your drive:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9SceneryBASEScenery. This file is installed during the installation process of FS9. It is totally outdated and the more time goes the more deviations are noticed. We have been working on an updated file which has been tested for the past two months. The updated file reacts very well with the basic FS9 sceneries but we are not sure at this point that the magnetic variations corrections will be read coorectly by secenery add-ons. Hey Michael,I actually had a discussion with Lefteris about this problem via e-mail but never got around to posting anything further on this.From what I worked out the data in the magdec file is around 11 or more years out of date. It seems like the USA data is newer though as alot of the problems I discussed in the forum don't happen in the States where the mag var has much higher values than in the UK where I noticed it.I've read the link you posted on numerous occasions before, mainly looking for updates to see if you guys are going to release a version of this. Alot of the technical discussion is above my head unfortunatley :) I wish I'd checked more often and I would have seen that a file has already been released.I don't do much flying anymore but the flying that I do do is concentrated around the UK and Europe which is where I noticed the problem initially.I downloaded Jos
