PMDG737 question

I am thinking of buying this aircraft and I was curious how the a/c will perform on my setup....I fly mostly out of VC so I am really concerned with the VC FPS....system specs belowP4 3.2 800FSB on Abit IC-71gb pc3200 dual channeledmaxtor 60 GBGeforce 6800GT OCed to 400/1.1and I run the following settings in MSFS..( I only list those that have the highest impact on frame rate)1600x1200 res4xAFno AAautogen- max densescenery complexity- very dense3d clouds-100 percent low coverage (Chris Willis texutres installed)Ultimate Traffic AI set to 40 percentterrain detail mediumI usually fly the default aircraft because the VC's stay pegged at 32 fps (my lock rate) most of the time...if I unlock it it hangs around 45-50 with FPS from 80-90 in unpopulated areas. So how will the PMDG perform for me?

That's a reasonably powerful system...PMDG 737 should rock. I run it on a 3.06 P4 with 1GB 1066MHz RDRAM and get 20 fps solid and very smooth except in proximity to heavy clouds or Simflyers "frame-drainer" sceneries, when it does drop to 12-15 fps. I run an nVidia FX5600 Ultra dual-head at 2560x1024x32 though, so that may explain some of that frame rate drop.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, DC

Hi,When in a real busy airport or in areas with very detailed scenery you won't get 32 FPS but rather 20 but otherwise I'm pretty sure you will get your 32 FPS. Considering what a detailed and complex a/c the PMDG 737 is I think the framrate you get with it is impressive and I doubt you could find any other a/c better modelled both when it comes to exterior/interior/systems.Cheers,

Thanks guys....also, I was thinking, just to fly this beautiful aircraft I am willing to crank down the details a little bit...so if I kept my autogen at normal dense ( I like autogen) and turn my scenery complexity down to normal or sparse how much of a diff would that make??
