Help with PMDG Repaint...

Featured Replies

Okay, so I've completed a repaint. It's on the 737-700 onto the "full_left" side of the image, with the full fuselage and not chopped into the lil pieces, now, i'm stuck on how to convert it and what to do with it from there. Any help is greatly appreciated!AJ LongCOO - Spirit Virtual AirlinesResearch and Marketing VP - Hyperion Airwayshttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgVATSIM Miami ARTCC Air Traffic ControllerMicrosoft Windows XP Home Edition

AJ,Here's what you do. Make a copy of the full_left side. Flatten this copy so you only have a single layer to work with. Open the PMDG_700_Fuse.psd file then going back to the full_left file, select all, copy then paste this copy onto the PMDG_700_fuse.psd file. Now change the opacity of this newly pasted layer to 70-80% so you can see the underlaying PMDG_700_Fuse texture. Move the pasted full_left layer to align with the top texture, which is the front left fuse art. I use the windows and front door for alignment. Paste again and you'll have another full_left layer. Move this layer to align with the next texture, which is the aft left fuse art. Use the windows and aft door for alignment. After you're pleased with the alignment you can change the opacity back to 100%. You'll need to complete the right_full and follow the above for the right side of the fuse. After you've pasted all four halves into the PMDG_700_Fuse you save then flatten. Select all, copy then paste this into the PMDG_700_fuse_t.TGA file. Once you've saved this TGA file you'll need to use imagetool to convert this into a FS recognized BMP file. Once you get to this point, post another message and I'll help you from there.Good luck

}( And finally I knwo what the "full" images are for... :DVery useful, naxt time :9 Ciao, Luca

Pete, Thanks for your reply. After your reply I was able to complete my first repaint, and a good one at that for a first one. While still needing to pick up PSP or Photoshop, I was able to get a half decent repaint done.http://img57.exs.cx/img57/7218/PacificAirB...arting_LAX1.jpgDeparting LAX pulling up the gear...http://img57.exs.cx/img57/8872/PacificAirB...rting_LAX_3.jpgYes, I know the landing lights should be retracted and off, however, it just made the image look that much better ;)AJ LongCEO - PacificAirCOO - Spirit Virtual AirlinesResearch and Marketing VP - Hyperion Airwayshttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgVATSIM Miami ARTCC Air Traffic ControllerMicrosoft Windows XP Home Edition
