October 22, 200421 yr hi therei have recently purchased PMDG 737 and are having a lot of fun since i dont have a clue on how to use and operate the FMC. But, as time goes by i pick up a few things (manuals are for girls ...).however, every time i select the PMDG it starts with a "brrrrrrrrr" sound in the background - weak, but always there. after flying with some other aircraft, i switced and the sound was missing. but only that once. it sounds like some sort of warning, but i cant find the cause.any help would be appriciated - i'll even consider washing ur car.:-)
October 22, 200421 yr Manuals might have answered your question, so you didnt have to ask it here. Im going to guess that "brrr" noise you are hearing is the Recirc fan, or one of the many fans in the NG cockpit. You can take the sound out if you dont like realism, but thats up to you.You wanted realism, you got it.
October 22, 200421 yr Its the recirculation fan.You can "dim" the majority of the sound by turning off the fan on the overhead panel. It's not a warning, so don't worry....Regards,Glenn Harrall Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD

October 23, 200421 yr >If manuals are for girls, then I'm Miles Davisnice answer to my question - u must have a lot of friends. thx for the other replies - it was not the cockpit recirculation fan, but a ticker function for the backup AI. And i managed to turn it of (remove it) after reading this post (http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=136&topic_id=64910&mesg_id=64910&listing_type=search)thx again:D
