November 30, 200421 yr Captains,I just saw a magnificent view of the Northerly Lights in Norway, which I never saw before in FS9.The flight was ENGM (Oslo-Norway) to EHAM (Schipol-Amsterdam-Netherlands). Take off time: 7:00 am, November 30, real weather. The sky was bright with yellow/blue/green lights and I almost lost the controls in such a beautiful spectacle...Should I know how to take a screen-shot (help, anyone?), I'd post it for you.Go up there and try it. We don't see much of this here in Brazil...BPilot
November 30, 200421 yr Yep, around Norway and other Scandinavian countries this is a very common sight in FS2004 ;)All the Best,Robin Bilgilhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
November 30, 200421 yr Hi,It is actually so common in FS9 I've decided to get rid of this effect as it's more common in real life not to see it, than the other way around. ;-)And in FS9 it's visible way too far south. I've seen it once in real life in Stockholm in 30 some odd years which is on latitude 60 Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|

Gosh, I see it so much all the time in real life that I almost don't know what the stars look like! Turn it off in real life and keep it on in FS9 is my motto. :-lol
November 30, 200421 yr :-lolWell I guess it all boils down to the latitude!Cheers, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
November 30, 200421 yr Those of you who have seen this for real are very lucky, this is something I would love to experience. It makes me a little sad as I struggle to see the stars let alone anything else through the light polution this country is so blessed with. (personnel opinion not meant as a political thingy magig!) enjoy your view :-yellow1
