April 1, 200521 yr Hi all.Apart from the computer on which I run the FS,I also own a laptop. My question is,whether it's possible or not to display the Overhed or the CDU on the laptop's display, through some linking interface or otherwise.Thank you for your time._______________________________Georgios Arkouzis http://www.ivao.org/data/images/flags/waving/small/GR.gif SX077http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg_______________________________
April 1, 200521 yr Georgios,You could theoretically run two instances of FS on your computers and connect them via WideView. But to my knowledge the new versions of WideView does not support transmitting instrument data as the earlier versions did.So practically I would say no it is not possible to do what you want. You could run any external add-ons from your laptop though. Using WideFS from Pete Dowson. It can be found here www.schiratti.com/dowson Or/and get yourself a cheap second monitor to hook up to your FS comp. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/110895.jpgHope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
April 1, 200521 yr Totally off topic, but whereabouts did you get the Jepp manual (or what looks to be one) from, Mats?(Killer setup, BTW)-Lee Barberhttp://home.nc.rr.com/uniuniunium/dvasig.jpg Lee Barber - Rochester, NY PPL-G
April 1, 200521 yr Lee,When SAS scrapped their DC-9ers all the route manuals were scrapped as well. As one of the members of my VA also was a DC-9 captain he collected all the obsolete manuals. We had a lottery on one of the annual gatherings and I was one of the lucky people getting one. It's an authentic SAS Flight Support route manual fully updated until mid 2001. It's one of my few real aviation gems. (And half of the content isn't even in the binder...LOL)Thanks, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|

April 1, 200521 yr Nice stuff Mats!Especially the 737NG Cockpit Companion!I was thinking of grabbing one myself:) Well here is a nice future project for PMDG>> A module that will allow the different parts of the panel to be displayed and operated from another computer.... But don't let that get in the way for the two ladies...It can wait... :) Regards.._______________________________Georgios Arkouzis http://www.ivao.org/data/images/flags/waving/small/GR.gif SX077http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg_______________________________

April 13, 200521 yr Thanks for your reply. As a matter of fact,I tried the demo of this software some time ago,and shortly after my monitor got damaged and needed to be repaired. Now,I don't know if it had anything to do with it,but I am a bit reluctant to try it out again. But I guess it was just bad luck...cheers_______________________________Georgios Arkouzis http://www.ivao.org/data/images/flags/waving/small/GR.gif SX077http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg_______________________________
