dual bleeds - can you damage engine ?

Featured Replies

Is it simulated that if you have APU and both engine bleeds on (dual bleed light on) and you increase the throttle then the engine is damaged and you have to start again?I find that I can apply full throttle and the plane accelerates regardless. Also where can I find a list of exactly what is simulated correctly? Many thanksGraham

I thought dual bleeds damages the APU, not the engine?- Neeraj

>I thought dual bleeds damages the APU, not the engine?>>- NeerajYes, dual bleeds will almost certainly damage the APU if you apply takeoff power. The warning is there to protect the APU and not the engines.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
