June 24, 200520 yr HiIs the 800/900 update supposed to change the 600/700 panel as well. when I added the 800/900 the panel changed to to the same as the 800/900 in the 600/700. I miss the other one, can you get it back? Thanks.
June 24, 200520 yr reinstal them both and don't apply the model update patch... but i suppose you won't have the TCAS and other features add with the 800/900 on the 600/700... Luca Luca Benelli PMDG & WX Radar? read here
June 24, 200520 yr There isn't a way you can stop the 737800/900 update from changing all the panels. If you miss the old panel, what you might want to do is backup the old textures for the panel, install the update, then replace the old textures with the new ones....Not sure if it'll work, but that's probably the only way...Why do you miss the old, cartoonish look though? I prefer this one by miles :D
June 24, 200520 yr Hi, SIMPLE QUESTION: Could PMDG rework the update in such a way that it does not affect the 600/700 series?WHY?:After all the good things I'd heard and read about PMDG, I have finally decided to spend 80 EUR on both the 737 models. And frankly I regret spending half of that amount. I mean there is not much difference between the two models to start with, but even then it is impossible to enjoy these differences, because I can only use either of the models at a time (unless I reinstall them every time I start FS9). And the problems is as follows: the 800/900 does not work if the 600/700 is installed afterwards - FS9 simply breaks down when I try to upload them.On the other hand if the latest version of 800/900 is installed second, it overwrites the panel of the 600/700. It also imports one of the the bugs of the 800/900 models (the speedbrake problem at landing) which does not exist in the 600/700 series.SO:Could PMDG rework the update in such a way that it does not affect the 600/700 series?Wojtek ELLX
June 24, 200520 yr Are you sure you dont just want to switch between the EFIS and PFD type displays through the PMDG menu?I would check this first before you start reinstalling things. On the other hand if you are referring to only the bitmap part of the panel, then no, you cannot go back to the 'non photo real' oneRegards,Glenn Harrall Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
