November 12, 200520 yr I haven't updated my original Sid's/Star's/etc. since I purchased the PDMG737 600/700 & the add-on 800/900 and was wandering if when I download the PIC-PMDG_0511.zip I'm assuming it will automatically populate and overwrite my existing navdata files in FS9 since it is a self-extracting executable file?? Or do I have to do other things before I attempt to update my old navdata files for the PMDG737NG ?noullet
November 13, 200520 yr Here are the steps I use follow to update my navdata.1. Download the latest airac from http://www.navdata.at/.2. I always install it into a temporary folder. Then completely replace the FMCWP folder which is in or FS9 folder. Meaning delete the existing FMCWP folder and put the new one in its place.3. Download the latest SIDS & STARS from http://planepath.com/.4. Extract it's contents into a temporary folder. Then delete everything from inside the FS9PMDGSIDSTARS folder and replace with the files you just extracted.5. Download the 'All-In-One' file from the SID/STAR section of http://www.navdata.at/. Extract the contents into a temporary folder. Then copy those files into the FS9PMDGSIDSTARS folder. When it asks if you want to replace the existing files say yes.6. If you need any specific, custom, SIDs and STARS for particular airports, install them now into the FS9PMDGSIDSTARS folder, replacing the existing ones. This method has worked for me since I got the PMDG NG months ago. You should find that little tutorial helpful in understanding what needs to be done and when.RegardsTerry
