New Patch 1.1 just doesn't do it for me

Featured Replies

Guys, I've tried flying with the latest update for the past week and it's just got too many rough edges for me personally. For me, there are simply too many gremlins lurking around the electrical and autothrottle systems, new sounds, etc. Of course, other user's mileage may vary.I've gone back to the original install + the interim update and I'm happy as a clam. This setup seems much more 'bulletproof', at least with my experience.Maybe a testament to how good the original release was and still is? :)Either way though, great sim, no others come close to the realism experience of PMDG.

Dear Ricardo-the Service Update corrects almost one hundred different issues with the product, so I am a bit surprised to hear that "it's got too many rough edges". Can you please be more specific? What about the electrical systems, autothrottle systems and sounds are "rough" in your book? Are you experiencing issues with crashes to desktop or other faults? The more precise you are, the better we can always make the product, isn't that true?

Rico,I was very happy with the interim patch as well (which I kept on my HD just in case) but you can trust me when I say you'd be even more happy with SU1. It's a bit tricky to install for some users, but definitely worth the hassle...There are so many improvements. I simply had to uninstall the whole 744 and fresh re-install with SU1. Before that, except if I didnt have CTD, I also had some gremlins under the windscreen and under the captain's seat.Dont stay like that :-)
