In order for me to hear the ATC in the Cockpit Views I have to move the FS9 sound sliders down so much that when I go to spot view I can hardly hear the wonderful roar of the engines. It seems that the cockpit sound is way to loud or the exterior spot view is not nearly loud enough. Is there anyway to fix this?

Well, this is a small "fix", which I use for cockpit sound: if you own LevelD 767 only! I replaced the wind sound of the 747 with the one from the sound folder of 767. I know it might not be as real, but as long as it takes down the sound of that loud wind when at cruise, I'm ok with it...

I uninstalled and then reinstalled and the sound is still the same. Is this the way the sound is supposed to be or am I setting up something wrong? If this is the way the sound is supposed to be will it be fixed?Mike

Just reduce the maximum volume under wind sound in the sound.cfg from now 15000 to say 10000 and see.Roland
