  1. This is weird. I do not have any third party traffic programs installed. I went into scenery/world/scenery and removed the trafficaircraft.bgl file to eliminate the FSX default traffic from showing. Yet when I get onto FSX the FSX default traffic is still showing. I did a search to see if there was another trafficaircraft.bgl file remaining somewhere and there wasn't. So what the heck? Any suggestions? Thanks!
  2. I installed this and it gave me very stable FPS around 30. However, it caused problems. When ever I tried using an aircraft pop up with a F key the pop up would come up white and blank. Two times it crashed FSX and caused the computer to reboot. I did not have any problems switching to and from windowed and full views like others have. As a result of the problems, I took it out of FSX. Too bad, since I could never get the previous FPSLimiter to ever work for me. So I still don't have an external FPS limiter that will work.System: Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 OCed to 3.4 ghz, 4 gb dual path RAM, 8800 GTS @ 640 mb, XP Pro SP3
  3. I was going to use the cfg rebuild tool, however, the lowest the options go for the video card is Series 9. I have a Nvidia Series 8800 GTS 640 mb. What do I input for that or does that mean the cfg tool won't help me with that lower card?
  4. Just out of curiosity, has anyone successfully ported over the F1 Meridian to FSX? If so how?
  5. I have been tempted to get the Mustang, however, I much prefer prop for GA. Why doesn't Flight1 do a complete remake of the Piper Meridian for FSX? I imagine it would be a big seller for you. It doesn't have to be tied into Reality XP as was the old one.
  6. Of all of the aircraft I have flown within the Flight Simulator series, my favorite was the Flight1 Piper Meridian. Now that I have gone completely over to FSX for some time now, I am surprised that no one has developed that aircraft for FSX. I tried porting it over to FSX but that was a failure and besides it's pretty dated now since it was originally developed for FS2002. Is there any word out there in flight simulation land of this great aircraft being developed in the future for FSX?
  7. I read somewhere that the GW entered cannot exceed the rated max GW of the aircraft or the FMC won't accept it.
  8. I couldn't see a better forum category to ask this so I apologize if this is in the wrong one.Are there any locations within the United States where the public can pay to fly full motion flight simulators for tube liners? There used to be a company in Long Beach, CA called Alteon where this could be done but it was apparently closed by Boeing. There are locations for Boeing simulators in Seattle and Atlanta but it is unclear from the web site if these are open to the public. Thanks!Mike
  9. I currently use WOAI for my AI Traffic. However, this traffic always causes pauses as the traffic loads and not just when I am on approach. If I turn AI Traffic completely off then I have nothing but smooth flight. I have read many forums concerning this problem, not just with WOAI but with all other payware AI traffic software such as TrafficX, My Traffic 2010 and Ultimate Traffic II. I would like to have an AI Traffic package which can be used and still have smooth flight. My question is short of having a super computer is there any solution to this problem?MikeE6700 Core 2 Duo OCed to 3.33, 2 GB DDR 2 dual path RAM, 8800 GTS 640 MB, XP Pro
  10. When using the Saitek Yoke and Throttle Quadrant is it possible to assign the movements to the hat switch and buttons and/or throttle levers on the yoke and throttle quadrant? If not when will this be included? Thanks!Mike
  11. Having Problems: I installed as per instructions, however when it is loading up in FSX I get an error message "Failed to load file" and then it crashes to desk top.Any suggestions?Mike
  12. I have the same problem with it in XP Pro 32 bit. I could not find any solutions either.Mike
  13. Check out this site. You can incorporate the Portland scenery to FSX fairly successfully and it looks pretty good. I don't have PNW but I bet if you place it above PNW in the scenery library it should still work. Someone should try and report back.http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/show...hlight=portland
  14. Can someone post the instructions from the Sim Outhouse site to this thread, please? For some reason the SOH site server is off line. Thanks!
  15. Here you go on porting it over to FSX. This is what I did a long time ago but since other FSX twins have come out since then I no longer have the C310 on my computer.DF C310:You must rename your FSX main directory Texture folder. Create a new Texture folder. Run the latest DF C310 installer and change the routing from FS9 to FSX.Copy all contents of the new Texture folder into each instance of the texture.xxx folder (there are two) within the file that is within the newly created Aircraft folder. After that delete the new main directory Texture folder and rename the original back to what it was. Copy the contents of the newly created and modified Aircraft folder to Sim Objects/Airplanes and then delete the Aircraft file.At one time, Dreamfleet released a VC gauge patch for the C310 which made the VC view gauges more clear. You need to install this as per the instructions which replaces all of the Panel.cfg files (4 options ones and the one active one) and also add one line to the FSX.cfg file. Do this before making any other modifications to the Panel.cfg files. The default GPS works fine within this one, however, you can replace it with the Simflyer's GSN530 if you would like to within the Panel.cfg file. The gauges which do not work are the Bendix NAV/COM Radio 1 only (The NAV/COM Radio 2 does work) and the altitude allerter gauge (Most of it works, however, I couldn't get the set altitude to work on it). I used FriendlyPanels GP Pack Bendix NAV/COM Radio 1 (payware) in place of the DF one (you could probably use the FSX default one also, although I didn't try because it doesn't look exactly like the C310 one) and I used the Simflyer's GNS pack altitude allerter gauge in place of the DF one. Do not replace the NAV/COM Radio 2 with the corresponding FriendlyPanel's one. When I tried, it caused the COM pop up not to work. The C310 #2 NAV/COM Radio works anyway. You could always use default FSX aircraft instruments instead of the FriendlyPanels or Simflyers instruments as replacements.Once you get all modifications the way you want them in the Panel.cfg file, don't forget to change the 4 in the options folder as well.In the Aircraft.cfg file go to the Autopilot section. Compare that to the FSX default Cessna 172 Autopilot section within it's Aircraft.cfg file. Delete all lines within the C310 Autopilot section that is not within the FSX Default Cessna 172 Autopilot section and add the one line from the Cessna 172 Autopilot section to the C310's. I had to do this to get the autopilot working with the navigation devices.I don't think the configurator will work and the animations to open the brief case and window visors don't appear to work. Everything else appears good.Hope this helps.Mike
