March 15, 201016 yr Is there anyone who has the Wilco 737 PIC with a fully functional VC in Windows 7 X64? The 2D panel works OK, but in the VC nothing is clickable on the pedestal, and some overhead switched cannot be clicked. I just did a reinstall of FSX but no luck. I have checked the Feelthere "unofficial " help forum, but no answers there either. Any help would be appreciated.
March 15, 201016 yr I have the same problem with it in XP Pro 32 bit. I could not find any solutions either.Mike
March 15, 201016 yr Is there anyone who has the Wilco 737 PIC with a fully functional VC in Windows 7 X64?the majority of users that have the VISTA verson for FSX have no problems. there continues to be a group of win7 users with problems ... about the same that have problems with VISTA 64bit.there are discussions about installing as winXP 'mode' that have helped some ... and not others. why? that is the continued question, and remains as there seems to be even greater install 'differences' for the win7 OS than existed for VISTA.--I have the same problem with it in XP Pro 32 bit. I could not find any solutions either.this report has started in only the last few months. there may be a windows update issue (such as the reported FS v. IE8 problem), or other addon conflict that has appeared (ie, newly released addon in relation to the 737 5+ year history).-- D. March 16, 201016 yr Author Scoob, It doesn't look like it's IE8. I uninstalled IE8 from my W7 OS. Reinstalled the 737 with the same result. I'm afraid I'm stumped. I don't have this problem with any of my other payware aircraft.
March 16, 201016 yr It doesn't look like it's IE8.i didn't mean to say that IE8 was the problem with the 737. i was giving the example of MS providing an update that has caused a flightsim conflict. there have been reports of IE8 causing problems with FS ... not faults in specific addons, FS itself quits working.the fact that the vast majority of users of the 737 report no VC problems (winXP, VISTA or win7) makes the issue a minority user issue of a software v. hardware v. OS conflict of high complication.how is your system different than other users running win7 with no issue?-- D. I have to unistall FSInn to run 737 on my WIN7 32bit -loads up but no gauges work. So have stopped using it in WIN7 and miss it. :( :(
March 16, 201016 yr I got the same problem with vista 64. When using it with XP, I experienced problems in vc when using other liveries than boeing. If I remember correct then gauges didnt appear, and vc was not clickable. After moving to vista 64, I just copied the files into the aicraft and fsx folder, now it was just the cdu and pedestal that wasnt clickable. (also the speedbrake could only be fully extended, and not retractet). Thought buying the vista upgrade and a full reinstall might solve the problem, but only difference was that speedbrake now works fine in vc. However, think it works fine using the simicons panel for acces to cdu and pedestal, kind of hard to work on the pedestal with track ir anyways. Really like this plane, but would be nice with a upgrade for vista/w7 64.-a.

March 17, 201016 yr Arne, It says on the Wilco website it is Vista\ Windows 7 compatible. It is for some and not for others.I don't think the attitude of "we don't support it on 64-bit operating systems but if you want to try it good luck" doesn't really cut the mustard any more in this year of our lord 2010. Given that most FSX users are steadily migrating to 64-bit OSs, not because they are being awkward but because of the limitations the 32-bit architecture imposes. IMHO some developers need to wake up and start making their products fully compatible. From a customer's point of view that smacks a little of take the money and run. Surely it makes business sense to keep up with customers' systems and keep up with the times? :(

March 17, 201016 yr IMHO some developers need to wake up and start making their products fully compatible.the 737 was released 5+ years ago ... VISTA and win7 were not in existance. 64bit winXP systems were likely <1% of all FS computers.-- D. I'm not saying it's not usable, it's just that some features in the VC don't work.

March 17, 201016 yr the 737 was released 5+ years ago ... I include myself in the latter group and still enjoy using the 737.

It appears that the problems that some of us are having may come from an update of one type or another to our operating systems. There doesn't seem to be one common thing that links all of us together. This problem is seen in XP 32 bit, Vista 32\64 bit, and Windows 7 32\64 bit. It doesn't seem as if Wilco has any interest in updating the 737 so we're pretty much stuck. This seems to be the only game in town when it comes to classic 737's for FSX.
