Wilco 737 PIC in Windows 7

Featured Replies

Terry, Thanks for the links. It appears that the problems that some of us are having may come from an update of one type or another to our operating systems. There doesn't seem to be one common thing that links all of us together. This problem is seen in XP 32 bit, Vista 32\64 bit, and Windows 7 32\64 bit. It doesn't seem as if Wilco has any interest in updating the 737 so we're pretty much stuck. This seems to be the only game in town when it comes to classic 737's for FSX.
No problem Mike, I run FS9 in Vista 32 bit and had a few problems myself but with the updates it sorted those few problems out. Anyway, hopefully at some point you will find a solution to your problems

I thought the same and actually thought it maybe xp sp 3. so I did a clean install of all with out sp 3 and still the same issues. I am still talking with martyn at just flight support about it. It does seem hopeless for the time being.

I just tried to reinstall the 737 in Safe Mode and still no luck.

Is there anyone who has the Wilco 737 PIC with a fully functional VC in Windows 7 X64? The 2D panel works OK, but in the VC nothing is clickable on the pedestal, and some overhead switched cannot be clicked. I just did a reinstall of FSX but no luck. I have checked the Feelthere "unofficial " help forum, but no answers there either. Any help would be appreciated.
I have the Wilco 737 running fine with win7 x64. All my VC gauges are click able. However I have my 737 package running in FS9. Have not tried FSX yet.Bill M

FSX seems to be where the problems lie. There doesn't apeear to be a common thread.

I have the Wilco 737 running in W7 x64 and FSX and it's absolutely fine with no prblems with gauges ot switches in 2D or VC. Previously I used Vista x64 and got the 737 Vista upgrade and had no problems with it in Vista either. I know this is not much help to others with problems, all I can say is that it does work on some systems.Good luckPhil

Phil, It's strictly hit or miss with this. I read that Just Flight is working with some customers to try and find a solution, but no luck yet.

Yes I understand that its a bit of a lottery and I feel sorry for those that can't get it to work. Just to make sure all was OK with mine I did a flight yesterday with the 737-300, LSGG to EGLL using Aerosoft airports, GEX Europe and AS 6.5, and checked everything out and it was all OK. I hope someone comes up with a difinitive solution for everyone.Phil

could some one confirm if they have been sucessful in getting the fmc & radio stack to work in the vc in fsx on the boxed dvd version, as I see from different post (and on other forums) the talk of being sucsessful appears to be re the downloaded ver 2004 upgraded to fsx that works.and of course if they have what OSthe box version I'm refering to shows the external view of the 737 on the front of the dvd case not the cockpit picturemany thanks

Hello everyone first the 737 PIC boxed version that you are describing is the one from Just Flight. Here are the web sites to both http://www.wilcopub....x-xp-5747.html/ and http://www.justfligh...ct.asp?pid=116. I have the one from just flight and it was running perfectly on Windows 7 64 bit mode with FSX. However after adding Rex 2, Fs-Copilot FsInn, GEX North America and FS Passengers I found myself with the same problems! Efis gauges did not work, and 2D and 3D panels were not clickable! Solution: I believed that the culprit was FSCOPILOT and/or FSINN, so I worked my way backwards and uninstalled them first! Presto I got lucky! Problem solved! Both X86 and X64 versions of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package were already installed after installing the 737Being a member of both Vatsim and IVAO I prefer IVAO's pilot software called IVAP. It never crashes in external mode and runs will smooth with good frames. Although I would love to fly more on Vatsim both FSINN/FSCOPILOT and Squawkbox just don't run well on my MachineSo there you have it! I hope it helps!
