I highly recommend two things for great weather:Registering FSUIPC (gives you lots of control over the FS9 weather engine)Active Sky V6.I've used FSMeteo in the past, and it's good, but I don't regret switching to ActiveSky at all. Great support forum as well.Hint - with Active Sky, if you don't use the ActiveRadar display (I don't, for instance), you can just move the activeradar.dll out of the FS9 Module directory and improve your performance a little bit.

I agree with Tim completely. Register you FSUIPC and buy Active Sky 6. You won't regret it and you'll never fly without them again.

Update your FSB via their forum page to version 2.22. Then acquire and install AS6. With AS6 running with loaded weather you can set FSB 2.22 to fetch the winds aloft from AS6 by setting the path to AS6 and in the Build Options set Get Winds Aloft. In FSB in the aircraft tab choose the aircraft profile you are using, cruise altitude, and times for TAXI, EXTRA, ALTERNATE, ETC. This way when you build in FSB it will do your fuel planning for you in the summary printed in the head of the navlog report. With AS6 with loaded weather running you can import an FS9 type flightplan to generate a weather navlog showing departure, destination, and both surface and winds aloft at waypoints along your route. This gives you temps and cruise data for FMC entry in its appropriate pages such as TAKEOFF and RTE page 1 cruise wind and temp.I do not know if FS Meteo coupleds to FSB in the same manner.

Same for me! ActiveSky. Version 6 is a nice enhancement. Here is one shot from Version 5 and a few from version 6. The active sky site has a lot of screen captures, recommend you look it up.Sorry, couldn't quite figure out how to make the images come across easily.http://www.brettdonahue.com/gallery/v/PMDG...apan+2.jpg.htmlhttp://brettdonahue.com/gallery/v/PMDG/737...ageViewsIndex=2http://brettdonahue.com/gallery/v/PMDG/737...ageViewsIndex=2http://brettdonahue.com/gallery/v/PMDG/737...ageViewsIndex=2http://brettdonahue.com/gallery/v/PMDG/737...ageViewsIndex=2http://brettdonahue.com/gallery/v/PMDG/737...ageViewsIndex=2http://brettdonahue.com/gallery/v/PMDG/737...ageViewsIndex=2Hope you enjoy

What can I say that my banner at the bottom doesn't? Well, for starters, HiFi, the development name behind Active Sky has been the dominant leader in add on weather application, and continues to strive for excellence. It's the most popular program for weather enhancement and that is clearly obvious in many ways. The support couldn't be better. Yes, it's a little pricey, but worth every penny. Just look at the website and see how many choices you have with the configuration screens.Make sure to get the new version though. ASv6 - Active Sky version 6.
